Paul McCartney reportedly helped celebrate Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding with a special musical performance, serenading the newlyweds during their reception at Madison Square Garden after they exchanged vows on July 3.
According to People, the former Beatle took the stage during the reception and performed the 1963 Beatles classic “I Want to Hold Your Hand,” creating one of the night’s most memorable moments.
A source told the outlet that once the ceremony concluded, Swift’s mother, Andrea Swift, welcomed guests into the reception space, where a stage had already been prepared for the evening’s entertainment.

Another music legend, Fleetwood Mac icon Stevie Nicks, also reportedly performed during the celebration, which continued into the early hours of Saturday morning.
McCartney and Swift have shared a friendship for years. In 2020, the two music stars appeared together on the cover of Rolling Stone, highlighting the mutual admiration between generations of songwriting icons.
Swift and Kelce, both 36, reportedly invited around 1,000 guests to witness their wedding at Madison Square Garden, bringing together family members alongside an extensive list of celebrities from music, film, sports and television.

Ahead of the main celebration, the couple hosted a much smaller rehearsal dinner at the same venue on Thursday evening for approximately 100 of their closest friends and relatives.
Among those reported to have attended the private gathering were Selena Gomez, sports broadcaster Erin Andrews, Kelce’s longtime friend Ross Travis and Swift’s publicist, Tree Paine.
Following Friday night’s ceremony, electronic signs outside Madison Square Garden lit up with the message “JUST&T MARRIED,” confirming the highly anticipated wedding had officially taken place.

New York City also joined the celebration, with the Empire State Building illuminated in blue, serving as Swift’s symbolic “something blue.”
Additional details released after the ceremony revealed that Swift and Kelce exchanged vows wearing custom Christian Dior Haute Couture designs. Adam Sandler officiated the ceremony, while Swift’s brother, Austin Swift, served as her “Man of Honor” and Kelce’s brother, Jason Kelce, stood beside him as best man.
Guests later shared their excitement about the event across social media.
Among them was AMC Theatres CEO Adam Aron, who posted a detailed account of the wedding on X before later deleting it.

Aron described Madison Square Garden as being completely transformed into what looked like an elegant countryside garden, saying the famous arena no longer resembled its usual sports venue.
He also praised the couple’s vows, calling them heartfelt, humorous and deeply personal as they reflected on how they met, why they chose one another and the promises they made while bringing both of their families together.
According to Aron, the emotional ceremony concluded with what he described as a dramatic “sweep you off your feet” kiss before guests moved into an “exquisite” reception featuring exceptional food, drinks and live music throughout the evening.
“I wish you all could have been there with me, to witness real, pure, true joy,” Aron wrote in his now deleted post.
