Sydnie Christmas is entering a new chapter with the release of her second album, The Artist, a deeply personal 13-track collection that gives fans a glimpse into the experiences behind the powerful voice that first made her a household name.
Released through Westway Music, the album is built around Christmas’ own story. The singer-songwriter co-wrote every song except one, transforming her experiences in music, theatre, relationships and life into a collection that feels more like a musical diary than a traditional pop record.
Rather than simply highlighting her vocal ability, The Artist allows Christmas to tell her story in her own words.
Sydnie Christmas Calls the Album a ‘Musical Diary’
Christmas has described The Artist as an honest reflection of the highs and lows she has experienced throughout her career.
“Creating this record felt like opening my diary and sharing my heart with the world,” she said.
For Christmas, songwriting also became part of her healing process. She hopes the songs can offer listeners the same sense of comfort, strength and courage that she found while creating them.

The album follows her breakthrough victory on Britain’s Got Talent in 2024, as well as the release of her debut album My Way and her work in London’s West End.
Christmas previously played Cruella de Vil in 101 Dalmatians before starring in From the Heart at the Fortune Theatre.
What’s on ‘The Artist’?
The new album features 13 songs, including several tracks that Christmas released ahead of the full record.

The tracklist includes:
- “Run”
- “Lean On You”
- “Spirit”
- “For The Last Time”
- “Wrote Your Name”
- “Run To You (Mum)”
- “Leap Into Nowhere”
- “Pressure”
- “I Can Defy”
- “Ready For It”
- “I’ll Be Alright”
- “I Want It All (With You)”
The collection also showcases Christmas’ ability to move beyond the songs and performances that audiences already know her for.
Producer and co-writer Ash Howes, whose previous credits include work with Ellie Goulding, One Direction, Little Mix and Kylie Minogue, praised Christmas’ creativity and distinctive voice after collaborating with her in the studio.
Westway Music Managing Director Neil O’Brien likewise described the project as a bold step, pointing to Christmas’ decision to record an entirely new collection of original material.
He said the album demonstrates that her abilities extend beyond singing to songwriting as well.
Fans Are Embracing Christmas’ New Era

Early reactions from listeners suggest that Christmas’ more personal approach is connecting with her audience.
One listener said that after listening to the album twice, they could hear not only Christmas’ voice but also “your soul” developing throughout the years.
Another fan said they had been playing the record nonstop and called Christmas “our brightest star.”
“I don’t know the last time I completely enjoyed an artist’s album,” another listener wrote, explaining that they usually only enjoy a handful of songs from a record but found every track on The Artist impressive.
Other fans highlighted the emotional depth of the collection, with one calling it “an outstanding piece” filled with emotion and praising Christmas’ ability to tackle different styles of songs.
Another listener praised the album’s individuality, describing the songs as featuring “Beautiful melodies” and “Personal lyrics.”
Some fans even found themselves unable to select a favorite track because they enjoyed the record as a whole.
“This album is absolutely incredible. Can’t pick one song because they are ALL AMAZING,” one fan wrote, while another simply declared, “LOVE the whole album!”
The enthusiasm has extended beyond streaming and digital listening, with fans also discussing their physical copies. Some said their CDs had already arrived, while others reported that their orders were on the way or had been placed on backorder.
