Fans of Seeking Persephone have reason to celebrate: the Regency romance is officially returning for not one, but two more seasons. Months after the first season premiered in March 2026, author Sarah M. Eden and leading man Jake Stormoen confirmed that the story will continue on Passionflix, with Season 2 adapting another novel from Eden’s beloved Lancaster Family series.

The announcement also revealed that the upcoming seasons will shift the spotlight to other members of the Lancaster family, bringing fresh romantic storylines, family drama, and familiar faces back to the screen.

Seeking Persephone Is Returning for Two More Seasons

Eden confirmed the news in an Instagram video shared on August 10, announcing that the Lancaster story would continue with both Season 2 and Season 3.

After the success of the first adaptation, the author expressed her excitement about bringing more of her books to life. Stormoen, who plays Duke Adam Boyce of Kielder, also appeared in the announcement, reassuring fans that they have not seen the last of the Lancasters or the formidable Duke.

The actor teased that more romance, family drama, and the Duke’s signature grumpiness are still ahead.

The renewal is particularly exciting for viewers who became invested in the relationship between Persephone Lancaster, played by Ryann Bailey, and Adam, a powerful nobleman feared throughout England. Their story began when Persephone accepted his marriage proposal to rescue her family from financial ruin, only for their arranged marriage to develop into genuine love.

With two additional seasons confirmed, the series will have more opportunities to explore the wider Lancaster family and the romantic complications surrounding its members.

When Will Seeking Persephone Season 2 Premiere?

Passionflix has not announced an official premiere date for Season 2.

In an August 11 Instagram update, Eden explained that continuing the series involves numerous moving parts and preparations. Although she acknowledged the challenges of producing additional seasons, she promised to keep fans informed as development progresses.

Eden also said she looked forward to sharing more of the production process with viewers, as she did during Season 1.

For now, fans will have to wait for further announcements regarding filming, production milestones, and the eventual release schedule.

What Will Season 2 Be About?

Season 2 will adapt Courting Miss Lancaster, the next story in Eden’s Lancaster Family series. Rather than focusing exclusively on Persephone and Adam, the new installment will center on Persephone’s younger sister, Athena Lancaster, and her complicated relationship with Harry Windover.

Harry has little money and believes he has no chance of winning the affection of a noblewoman like Athena. His situation becomes even more complicated when the Duke asks him to help find a suitable match for her.

Instead of introducing Athena to genuinely promising suitors, Harry devises a plan to present her only with men who are boring, rude, or downright ridiculous. While Athena believes she has found a trustworthy friend in Harry, he must keep his intentions hidden—and avoid revealing his growing feelings for her.

The premise sets up another romance filled with misunderstandings, secret motives, and the tension between social expectations and genuine affection.

Eden also confirmed that she had the opportunity to write the screen adaptations herself, giving her a direct role in bringing these stories from the page to the screen.

Season 3 Will Adapt Romancing Daphne

The Lancaster family’s story will continue beyond Athena’s romance. According to Eden, Season 3 will adapt Romancing Daphne, another novel in the series.

Eden has written five books in the Lancaster Family collection, with each focusing on a different Lancaster sibling. The planned adaptations therefore offer a broader opportunity to explore the family’s relationships and individual romantic journeys.

Specific plot details for Season 3 have not yet been revealed, and no premiere date has been announced. However, confirming the next two adaptations gives fans a clearer picture of the direction Passionflix intends to take the franchise.

Which Cast Members Are Returning for Season 2?

Although the complete Season 2 cast has not been officially announced, several familiar performers are expected to return.

Jake Stormoen as Duke Adam Boyce of Kielder

Stormoen’s appearance in the renewal announcement confirms that the Duke will remain part of the story. His character’s involvement in Athena’s matchmaking troubles also provides a natural connection between the first season and the upcoming romance.

Ryann Bailey as Persephone Lancaster

Bailey’s return has not been formally confirmed, but Persephone’s relationship with Adam and her place within the Lancaster family make an appearance alongside Stormoen a strong possibility.

Catherine Hannay as Athena Lancaster

Hannay, who portrayed Athena in Season 1, is expected to reprise the role as her character takes center stage in Courting Miss Lancaster.

Toby-Alexander Smith as Harry Windover

Smith is also expected to return as Harry, Athena’s love interest. Following the announcement, he commented on the post with a playful remark directed at Stormoen, suggesting that he would need the actor’s trainer.

While these developments point toward the return of key cast members, Passionflix has yet to release a complete official cast list.

What Happens Next for the Regency Romance?

With Seasons 2 and 3 confirmed, Seeking Persephone is moving beyond its original love story to explore the wider Lancaster family. The next chapter will introduce Athena and Harry’s romance, while the following season is set to bring Daphne’s story to the screen.

The biggest remaining questions concern the production schedule, premiere dates, and the full lineup of returning actors. Eden has promised further updates as preparations continue, giving fans reason to watch for news in the coming months.

For now, the future looks promising for Seeking Persephone, with two more adaptations planned and plenty of romance, family complications, and Regency-era drama still to come.
