Former Real Housewives of Potomac cast member Mia Thornton is facing severe legal consequences after prosecutors officially filed a felony charge against her following her late 2025 arrest.

According to court documents obtained by TMZ, the Fulton County District Attorney has charged Thornton with felony theft by taking. The formal charge stems from an incident on October 28, 2025, in which Thornton and an associate, Jared McGriff, allegedly removed a television and various furniture items from a furnished condominium during a late-night move. Law enforcement estimates the value of the missing property to be between $5,000 and $25,000.
The legal filing follows Thornton’s dramatic arrest at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport in November 2025. Bodycam footage released after the incident captured police taking the reality television personality into custody inside the terminal. Shortly after the arrest, Thornton addressed her followers on social media, describing the situation as chaotic while attempting to remain grounded.
Thornton appeared as a main cast member on RHOP from Season 6 through Season 9, frequently finding herself at the center of high-profile disputes both during filming and off-camera. With prosecutors officially pushing forward with felony charges, she could now face potential jail time if convicted.
