The Voice: Celebrity has reportedly suffered an unexpected setback before the new season has even reached the screen.

Season 31 of The Voice is making history by replacing the usual group of aspiring singers with famous faces. But according to a new report, one celebrity contestant has already walked away from the competition.

The contestant is reportedly TikTok star Bella Poarch.

According to The Sun, Poarch made it through the Blind Auditions before leaving the competition just days before the Battle Rounds began.

Her sudden departure reportedly created “chaos” behind the scenes as producers had to make quick changes to the competition.

Because the celebrity contestants are divided between the coaches’ teams, losing one performer at that stage meant the production team needed to adjust the lineup and make sure the teams remained balanced before filming the Battles.

The reason for Poarch’s reported exit has not been publicly confirmed.

Poarch, 29, became a global social media star after rising to fame on TikTok. She has built a following of more than 91 million people on the platform and later moved into music.

She released her debut EP, Dolls, in 2022 and has continued to develop her career as a singer and entertainer.

Her reported exit would make her one of the first major surprises of The Voice: Celebrity.

Season 31 will look very different

Poarch’s reported departure comes as The Voice prepares for its biggest format change yet.

Season 31 will feature celebrities competing instead of undiscovered singers. The new season will also have a different coaching lineup, with Queen Latifah, Riley Green and Joe Jonas taking the coaches’ chairs.

Another major change involves the format itself.

Unlike the traditional version of The Voice, the celebrity season is expected to be completely pre-taped. There will be no live shows and no public voting, meaning viewers will not decide the winner from home.

Keke Palmer will also take over hosting duties for the celebrity edition, replacing longtime host Carson Daly.

That makes Season 31 a major experiment for the franchise, and the reported loss of a contestant before the Battles adds another unexpected twist to an already unusual season.

When will The Voice Celebrity premiere?

Fans will have to wait until 2027 to see The Voice: Celebrity.

Before then, The Voice Season 30 will premiere on NBC on September 21, 2026, with the show’s traditional format returning.

Carson Daly will remain as host for Season 30, while Kelly Clarkson, Adam Levine, Queen Latifah and Riley Green will serve as coaches.

Season 31 will then take the franchise in a completely different direction.

With celebrity contestants, a new host, a new coach lineup and no live voting, there will be plenty of changes for longtime fans to get used to.

And if Bella Poarch’s reported exit is any indication, the celebrity edition may already be proving to be just as unpredictable behind the scenes as it promises to be on screen.
