Loved ones of Storage Wars star Darrell Sheets gathered this week to honor his life in an emotional celebration of life held two months after his death.
Sheets, who was 67, was found dead in Lake Havasu City, Arizona on April 22. His death was later ruled a suicide. A memorial service was held on Monday, June 29, in Huntington Beach, California, where family and friends came together to remember him. His son, Brandon Sheets, shared photos and video clips from the event on Instagram, giving fans a glimpse into the tribute.
The footage showed rows of chairs set up inside an auditorium, along with tables filled with pamphlets, photographs, and personal items celebrating Darrell’s life and career.

“Do It For Darrell,” Brandon wrote alongside the post. “We celebrated you and said our goodbyes yesterday… I never wanted to do this. I’m grateful that my wife @melissalove44 helped @callkimber decorate and plan this. I would’ve lost and not know what to do without them.”

He went on to thank everyone who attended, describing the day as an emotional experience.
“Bruce did an amazing job speaking for Darrell and I just hope and pray that everyone enjoyed their time yesterday as well all let go and said our goodbyes to @darrellgambler. Thank you all and I love you,” he added.

Darrell’s former wife, Kimber Wuerfel, also shared a video from the service, showing a symbolic release of 67 doves in his honor. The doves were released by his grandchildren, brothers, and sisters as part of the farewell tribute.

Several of Darrell’s former Storage Wars co stars attended or acknowledged the memorial. Dave Hester posted photos from the gathering on social media, saying it was an honor to be present. René Nezhoda also shared images of memorabilia displayed at the event, writing, “Darrell We Love you and you are missed 🙏♥️🙏.”

Beyond television, Darrell had built a following for his larger than life personality on Storage Wars. After stepping away from the show in 2023, he went on to open an antique shop in Arizona called Havasu Show Me Your Junk.

As friends and family continue to mourn his passing, the memorial served as a final farewell to a reality TV figure who left a lasting mark on the series and its viewers.
