Ryann Bailey, best known for playing Persephone Lancaster in the Regency romance series Seeking Persephone, has announced her engagement to fellow actor Nate Morley.
The actress shared the happy news on October 26, posting photos of the proposal at Smokey Ridge Farmstead & Winery in Placerville, California. In the pictures, Bailey appeared overwhelmed with emotion as she accepted Morley’s ring.
“YES YES A THOUSAND TIMES YES,” she wrote on Instagram, expressing her excitement about taking the next step in their relationship.
“I am so absurdly happy. You make my life so full. I might completely believe in soulmates now, because of you,” Bailey added.
She also admitted that Morley had managed to surprise her, despite the couple spending the weekend with their families.
“Both our families threw me off the trail all weekend,” she wrote. “Well played, sir.”
Bailey ended her announcement with an emotional message to her fiancé, saying she loved him more than words could express and couldn’t wait to marry him.

Bailey’s engagement announcement also attracted attention from Sarah M. Eden, the author of the novel on which Seeking Persephone is based. Eden celebrated the couple in the comments, writing, “You guys!!!!!” Bailey responded warmly: “Love you Sarah.”
Hours after sharing the proposal photos, Bailey offered another glimpse of the engagement ring through her Instagram Stories. The piece is a vintage French Art Nouveau-style design, a fitting choice for an actress whose best-known role belongs to a Regency-inspired romance.
Although Bailey and Morley have occasionally shared moments from their relationship on social media, they have generally kept the details of their romance private.
From a Film Set to Engagement
The couple first met shortly before filming began on the 2023 fantasy film Mythica: Stormbound, directed by Jake Stormoen, Bailey’s fellow Seeking Persephone lead.
Bailey previously explained on Facebook that she already knew Morley’s sister before meeting him. The two actors connected several weeks before production began, when they got together to review their scenes and become more familiar with each other.
Their relationship has since extended beyond that first project, with Bailey and Morley appearing together in several productions, including the 2025 short film Java Jive.

Their personal and professional lives have also continued to develop together. In June 2026, Bailey revealed that she had moved to Los Angeles with Morley, expressing gratitude for his decision to put parts of his own life on hold to make the move alongside her.
