The Lancaster family’s romantic story is far from over. Seeking Persephone has officially secured both Season 2 and Season 3, giving fans two more installments of the Regency romance series following its March 2026 debut on Passionflix.
The announcement was shared on August 10, 2026, through an Instagram video featuring author Sarah M. Eden and actor Jake Stormoen, who plays Duke Adam Boyce of Kielder.
Eden confirmed that the story would continue beyond its first season, while Stormoen indicated that viewers had not seen the last of the Lancaster family or the formidable Duke. The upcoming installments are expected to bring more romance and family drama, with Adam’s grumpy personality remaining part of the story.
The news also revealed which novels will provide the foundation for the next two seasons.
What Will ‘Seeking Persephone’ Season 2 Be About?
Season 2 will adapt Courting Miss Lancaster, the second installment in Eden’s Lancaster Family book series. Unlike the first season, which centered on Persephone Lancaster and her arranged marriage to Adam, the next chapter will focus on her younger sister, Athena Lancaster.
Athena’s romantic interest is Harry Windover, a man without money who believes he has little chance of winning the affection of a noblewoman.
Their relationship becomes complicated when the Duke asks Harry to help find a suitable match for Athena. Rather than introducing her to genuinely appealing candidates, Harry develops a plan to present her with suitors who are boring, rude, or ridiculous.
The arrangement creates an unusual situation: Athena believes Harry has become a friend, while he must keep his matchmaking scheme hidden from her.
The story promises another romance built around misunderstandings, concealed intentions, and the complicated dynamics of the Lancaster family.
Has Season 2 Received a Release Date?
Despite the renewal announcement, Season 2 does not yet have an official premiere date.
In an Instagram update shared on August 11, Eden explained that continuing the series involves numerous moving parts and preparations. She also expressed enthusiasm about sharing more of the production process with viewers, as the team did during Season 1.
Although the author has not provided a production schedule or confirmed when filming will begin, she indicated that further updates would follow as plans progress.
Eden also revealed that she personally had the opportunity to write the television adaptations for the upcoming seasons.
Who Is Returning for Season 2?
Several familiar faces are expected to return for the second installment.
Catherine Hannay, who portrayed Athena in Season 1, is expected to reprise her role, while Toby-Alexander Smith is also anticipated to return as Harry Windover.
Smith reacted to the renewal announcement on social media, suggesting that he was preparing for another appearance alongside Stormoen.
Meanwhile, Stormoen’s participation in the announcement video confirmed that Duke Adam Boyce will remain part of the continuing story. This also makes a return for Ryann Bailey, who plays Persephone, likely, although her Season 2 casting has not been formally confirmed in the announcement.
What About Season 3?
The third season will move on to another Lancaster sibling with an adaptation of Romancing Daphne, another novel from Eden’s Lancaster Family series.
The author has written five books in the series, each focusing on a different Lancaster sibling, providing additional stories that could potentially expand the television adaptation.
For now, the confirmed plans are clear: Seeking Persephone will continue with two more seasons, Season 2 will bring Athena and Harry’s romance to the forefront, and Season 3 will turn its attention to Daphne.
Both upcoming installments are set to stream on Passionflix, although their premiere dates remain unannounced.
