David Beckham couldn’t contain his excitement as England booked their place in the 2026 FIFA World Cup semi-finals with a thrilling comeback victory over Norway.
The former England captain was among the crowd at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami on Saturday, July 11, 2026, watching the Three Lions battle back from behind to secure a dramatic 2-1 extra-time win and keep their World Cup dream alive.
Following the final whistle, Beckham shared his pride on Instagram Stories, posting a collection of photos and videos from the unforgettable night alongside the simple message: “Brilliant from the lads.”

The football legend was joined by his wife, Victoria Beckham, and three of their children — Romeo, Cruz, and Harper Beckham — as they experienced every emotional twist of the quarter-final together. Their eldest son, Brooklyn Beckham, was not seen at the match.
Victoria also marked the occasion on social media, sharing a family photo from the stadium with the caption: “Special moment tonight in Miami with my family and for our country.”
As always, the Beckhams brought effortless style to the occasion.
David Beckham, 51, looked sharp in a tailored navy suit, paired with a crisp white shirt and matching navy tie. His signature silver watch and tattooed hands completed the polished look as cameras captured him nervously following the action before celebrating England’s victory with a beaming smile.

Victoria Beckham, 52, opted for an elegant combination of a flowing champagne satin top and white trousers, finishing the look with oversized aviator sunglasses and her trademark long brunette hair styled loose with soft highlights.
The Beckham children also embraced the occasion. Romeo and Cruz proudly wore England shirts, while Harper chose a casual outfit consisting of a black bandeau top and relaxed blue jeans. Throughout the match, the family could be seen singing, cheering and reacting together as England survived another tense knockout battle.
The match itself delivered plenty of drama.
Norway struck first in the 36th minute, with Andreas Schjelderup putting his side ahead and silencing England supporters inside the stadium.

However, Jude Bellingham responded just before halftime to bring England level before producing another decisive moment three minutes into extra time, scoring his second goal of the night to complete the comeback and seal a 2-1 victory.
For Beckham, the result carried extra emotional significance.
The former midfielder earned 115 caps for England and captained the national team during one of the most celebrated international careers in the country’s history.

Ahead of the quarter-final, Beckham had also visited England’s training camp in Miami, speaking with the squad as they prepared for the knockout clash. The team had been training at facilities linked to Inter Miami, the Major League Soccer club Beckham co-owns.
England’s victory now sends them into the World Cup semi-finals, where they will face the winner of Argentina and Switzerland for a place in the final.
With another memorable comeback complete, Beckham—and millions of England supporters around the world—can once again dare to believe that football might finally be coming home.
