Cade Mower needed only a few seconds to make all four coaches turn their chairs on The Voice.
The 35-year-old singer from Bluffdale, Utah, delivered a powerful version of Zach Bryan’s Something in the Orange during his Blind Audition, immediately catching the attention of Adam Levine, Kelly Clarkson, Queen Latifah and Riley Green.
Levine was the first coach to turn, quickly followed by the other three. Within seconds, Mower had earned a coveted four-chair turn and become one of the early standouts of The Voice season 30.

Cade Mower Surprises Coaches With His Day Job
Mower’s voice was not the only thing that caught Clarkson’s attention.
During his audition, she asked about his background and was stunned to learn that he works in finance.
“You’re a finance bro with that voice?” Clarkson exclaimed.

Mower explained that he has spent years balancing his career in finance with his passion for music while also being a husband and father.
“I’ve been juggling the three different hats of being a finance guy, being a musician, and being a father and a husband,” he said.
His family was also there to support him. Mower brought his wife, Lindsey, and their two children onto the stage after his performance.
Before the audition, he became emotional while talking about his wife and the support she has given him as he pursued his dream.
“I felt a lot of guilt coming out here and doing something selfish,” he said. “The fact that she can come in and just be so supportive, just doing so much for me, it just means everything.”
Why Cade Mower Chose Riley Green
With all four coaches fighting for him, Mower ultimately chose country singer Riley Green.
“I’m a huge fan of you already,” Green told him. “Cheers Team Riley, and we’ll go win this thing.”
The decision immediately made Mower one of the most talked-about members of Team Riley.
His audition has also attracted major attention online. The official performance has surpassed 3 million views on The Voice’s YouTube channel, making it one of the most-watched auditions of season 30 so far.

Who Is Cade Mower?
Mower began playing guitar at 12 and started singing before turning 21. He initially performed for small crowds at his uncle’s bar in Salt Lake City before expanding his music career while attending college and living in Austin and Nashville.
Over nearly 15 years, he has performed thousands of shows while maintaining a full-time career.
Mower currently works as a wealth adviser to support his family, but his ultimate goal has always been to make music his full-time career.
“I’m always going to do music,” he said before his Blind Audition. “I need a chair to turn so I can be a full-time artist.”
After earning all four chairs, Mower now has his chance to take another step toward that goal.

Cade Mower Is One of Several Utah Singers This Season
Mower is one of three Utah singers who have made an impression during season 30.
Salt Lake City’s Cal Cook, 28, earned a chair turn from Levine with his version of Dijon’s The Dress. Levine was the only coach to turn for Cook, but Latifah praised his unique style and said she wanted to buy his record immediately.
Another Utah contestant, Johnnie Kapua, also advanced earlier in the season after winning over Clarkson with his performance of Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars’ Die With a Smile.
With Blind Auditions nearing their end, Mower has already established himself as one of the season’s contestants to watch. Now, as a member of Team Riley, he will have to prove that his four-chair turn was only the beginning.
