With only two episodes left before the American Idol Season 24 finale, the competition has entered its most intense stage yet and the latest Top 5 rankings show the biggest shift fans have seen all season.
Following the April 27 live episode, Brooks Rosser and Daniel Stallworth were eliminated after the Top 7 performed, leaving just five contestants still fighting for a place in the finale: Keyla Richardson, Hannah Harper, Jordan McCullough, Chris Tungseth, and Braden Rumfelt.
Now, with America’s votes deciding which three singers will advance to the finals, fan support across YouTube, Instagram, and social media interactions is giving a strong indication of who may be leading the race.

While it is impossible to know exactly how viewers will vote, performance views on the official American Idol YouTube channel and social media followings have long served as major clues. Contestants with stronger online engagement often continue moving forward in the competition—although surprise eliminations like Kyndal Inskeep’s proved that nothing is guaranteed.
Still, based on current fan response, three singers are clearly emerging as the frontrunners.
For the first time this season, Keyla Richardson has moved into the No. 1 spot, taking over as the current favorite to win. Although she has fewer Instagram followers than Hannah Harper, with 104,000 followers compared to Hannah’s massive 388,000, Keyla’s recent performance numbers tell a powerful story.

Her Top 7 performances have already pulled in 45,000 and 42,000 YouTube views, and she has become one of the strongest fan favorites among live audiences in recent weeks. That growing momentum has pushed her ahead at exactly the right moment.
Close behind her is Hannah Harper, who remains one of the biggest threats in the competition. Ever since her audition went viral earlier this season, many fans expected her to go far—and she has done exactly that.
One of Hannah’s Top 7 performances currently holds the highest YouTube views of any remaining contestant at 53,000, while her second performance has reached 35,000 views. Combined with her dominant Instagram following, she remains one of the strongest contenders for the crown.

Rounding out the current Top 3 is Jordan McCullough, whose consistency and strong fan support continue to keep him safely in the conversation.
Jordan, who previously earned the platinum ticket during the Ohana Round, has built steady momentum throughout the season. His Top 7 performances reached 30,000 and 35,000 views on YouTube, and he currently has 37,800 Instagram followers. While his numbers may not be as explosive as Keyla or Hannah, his loyal fanbase and strong stage presence make him a serious finalist contender.
Meanwhile, Chris Tungseth currently sits in fourth place, with Braden Rumfelt ranked fifth. Braden has the lowest Instagram following among the Top 5 with 31,100 followers, and his Top 7 performance views—16,000 and 29,000—place him on the lower end compared to the rest of the field.

With the semifinals arriving on May 4 and the grand finale set for May 11, the pressure is now higher than ever. Only three singers will survive the next round, and with fan voting happening through text, the American Idol website, and social media, every vote matters.
As the rankings continue to shift, Keyla Richardson, Hannah Harper, and Jordan McCullough appear to be leading America’s vote heading into the final stretch but in a season full of surprises, anything can still happen.
