The Season 30 premiere of The Voice is already making history, drawing 7.8 million viewers in its first seven days of availability and becoming the most-streamed episode in the show’s history.
The strong early numbers give the singing competition a major boost as Season 30 introduces a new coaching lineup that has quickly become one of the biggest talking points among viewers.

The 7.8 million total combines Nielsen’s measurement of linear viewers on NBC with NBCUniversal’s streaming data from Peacock. It marks the show’s biggest opening audience since Season 27 in spring 2025 and represents a 5% increase over the seven-day total for the Season 28 premiere last fall.
The numbers look even stronger when the episode is measured across its first three days of availability. The Season 30 premiere saw a 57% increase compared with last year’s premiere and became the most-streamed episode of The Voice ever.
NBCUniversal also reported that the premiere reached more than 19 million people across platforms when counting anyone who watched at least part of the episode. On social media, the premiere generated 337 million video views between September 21 and September 25, according to Sprout Social.

Fans are loving the new coaches
The strong opening comes as Season 30 gives viewers a very different coaching lineup. Kelly Clarkson and Adam Levine are back, while Queen Latifah and Riley Green are joining the show as new coaches.
And judging by fan reactions, the new combination is working.
One viewer said they had stopped watching The Voice years ago but were already loving the new season. Another admitted they normally only watched the Blind Auditions but had become hooked this year because of the coaches, praising their chemistry.
Fans repeatedly singled out Riley and Queen as major reasons they had returned to the show.

One longtime viewer wrote that Riley Green and Queen Latifah had brought them back to The Voice after years away, while another said the four coaches were “the best” lineup the show had had in a long time.
Other viewers praised the coaches for being funny while still showing genuine support for the contestants. One fan called the season the best in a long time and said the four coaches together were “magic.”
Riley has also quickly emerged as a fan favorite. One viewer simply wrote, “Riley Green is killing it,” while another said they loved seeing him on The Voice. Several fans praised his humor, with one joking that Riley had them laughing constantly.
The Voice is back with major changes for Season 30

Season 30 is also giving viewers more live television than they have seen in recent seasons. After the show relied heavily on pre-taped episodes during the previous two seasons, the live shows are returning for six weeks and will be simulcast across NBC and Peacock in all time zones for the first time.
The season also introduced the First In Button, which allows the first coach to turn their chair to immediately claim an artist, while the new Cut Week format will help determine the singers moving into the live shows.
New episodes air Mondays at 8 p.m. on NBC and stream on Peacock the following day. Season 30 will also feature special themes including Dolly Parton, Y2K and TikTok hits.
With the premiere already setting a streaming record and fans appearing increasingly invested in the new coaching lineup, The Voice is off to one of its strongest starts in recent seasons.
