The Voice fans are begging the show to bring back a beloved feature after it was quietly dropped for Season 30, with viewers saying the sudden change has made the competition less fun to watch.
The NBC singing competition is now well into its milestone 30th season, but one part of the viewing experience is missing this year. The Voice Official App, which previously allowed fans to play along with the competition, has disappeared from mobile app stores.

The standalone app was separate from the main NBC app and gave viewers several ways to interact with the show while watching. Fans could act as virtual coaches during the Blind Auditions, choose which Artists they would turn for, build fantasy teams for the Battles and Knockouts, take part in live polls and trivia, and earn points.
The app also offered performances, artist profiles and other digital content, giving longtime viewers another way to follow the competition beyond simply watching each episode.

Those who had already downloaded the app also could not use it for the new season.
The Voice has not publicly explained why the app was removed, and the sudden change quickly caught the attention of fans who had used it for years.
Fans want The Voice app back

The decision to remove the app has sparked a wave of complaints from viewers who say it made watching The Voice more interactive and fun.
One commenter said they “hate that they got rid of the Voice app,” adding that there was no reason fans could not continue playing along with the show.
Another fan simply demanded, “BRING BACK THE VOICE APP SO WE CAN PLAY ALONG,” making it clear that they want the interactive feature restored.

One viewer said they had actually stopped watching the show after the app was removed, while another said they could no longer enjoy playing along with the competition without it.
Other fans were left questioning why the app was no longer available, with one commenter asking why viewers “didn’t play last week.”
The frustration continued across social media, with viewers saying the app had become part of their regular viewing experience. For some fans, it was not just an extra feature but a way to make their own choices during the Blind Auditions and feel more involved in the competition.
Season 30 brings plenty of new changes

The missing app comes as The Voice introduces several major changes of its own for Season 30.
Kelly Clarkson and Adam Levine have returned as Coaches alongside first-time Coaches Queen Latifah and Riley Green, while Carson Daly is hosting his final season after 15 years with the show.
During the Blind Auditions, Coaches now have the First In Button, which gives the first Coach to turn their chair for an Artist the immediate advantage of claiming them.
The season also introduces Cut Week, described as the biggest elimination in The Voice history, while voting for the winner now takes place through SMS and TikTok.
The show has also brought back six weeks of Live Shows, with the live episodes simulcast across NBC and Peacock for the first time.
As of October 5, Season 30 had reached the fifth round of Blind Auditions, with another episode scheduled for October 6 as the competition moves toward the Battles.
For fans who relied on the app to make predictions, build fantasy teams and play along with the Coaches, however, one question remains: Will The Voice bring it back?
So far, there has been no official word that the app will return.
