Margot Robbie enjoyed a fashionable day out in Paris, France, on Saturday, stepping out alongside her mother, Sarie Kessler, for a relaxed shopping trip that showcased the pair’s close bond.
The 36-year-old Australian actress looked effortlessly chic in a butter yellow silk co-ord featuring delicate lace detailing. She paired the elegant look with black ballet pumps, oversized sunglasses, a black leather handbag, and a coordinating bucket hat, while wearing her signature blonde hair loose for a polished yet relaxed finish.
Walking beside her daughter, Sarie Kessler matched the stylish mood in a brown top, beige chinos, and suede sandals, making the outing a picture-perfect mother-daughter moment.
The appearance comes as Robbie continues to strengthen her ties to her Australian roots. The Oscar-nominated star was recently revealed as the buyer of Redwood, a spectacular $28 million (£20.8 million) ranch in Currumbin Valley on Queensland’s Gold Coast, just a short distance from where she spent her childhood.

The luxurious estate boasts six bedrooms, six bathrooms, garaging for ten vehicles, stables, a swimming pool, a tennis court, and sits on seven acres of land. Property records show the purchase was completed in June last year, making it Queensland’s most expensive residential property transaction on record.
For many fans, the sleek contemporary design and expansive glass-filled architecture evoke the glamorous lifestyle associated with Robbie’s iconic role in Barbie.
The purchase also represents a meaningful homecoming for the actress. During a 2019 interview with Vogue Australia, conducted alongside her mother, Robbie fondly recalled growing up in Currumbin Valley.
“Do you remember when we lived in Currumbin Valley, I would always do my homework in a tree?” she said. Reflecting on conversations with friends raised in cities like New York and London, Robbie added that many struggled to imagine her childhood, explaining that her mother would simply call out the window when dinner was ready while she played among the camphor laurel trees beyond the paddock.
“You realise how lucky you are to have grown up on the Gold Coast,” she said.
After launching her career on the Australian soap Neighbours, Robbie relocated overseas to pursue opportunities in Hollywood. She went on to earn acclaim through films including Mary Queen of Scots and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, before producing and starring in Barbie in 2023.

The blockbuster earned $1.4 billion (£1 billion) worldwide, becoming the highest-grossing film of 2023 and, at the time of its release, the 14th highest-grossing film ever.
In 2026, Robbie starred in and produced Wuthering Heights opposite Jacob Elordi, continuing her successful career both in front of and behind the camera.
Today, Robbie divides her time between Los Angeles, Australia, and her home in Notting Hill, London, where she lives with her husband, Tom Ackerley, also 36.
The couple’s relationship began after Robbie moved to London in 2013 while filming the romantic war drama Suite Française. At the time, she shared a house in Clapham with six members of the production crew, where her romance with the Surrey-born filmmaker first blossomed. They married in 2016 and welcomed a son in 2024.
