Country singer Ella Langley canceled her scheduled Tulsa, Oklahoma, concert on Friday, October 9, just hours before she was due to take the stage, after a serious security threat raised concerns about the safety of fans, venue staff and her touring team.
The 27-year-old announced the decision on social media, explaining that it followed advice from local authorities, staff at the BOK Center and her own security team. The performance was part of her Dandelion Tour.
Langley acknowledged the disappointment the last-minute cancellation would cause, particularly for fans who had spent time and money traveling to the show. She said she had been looking forward to performing but emphasized that protecting everyone involved had to come first.
Her team also released a statement confirming that the concert could not proceed following consideration of the reported threat. The statement apologized to ticket holders and reiterated that the safety of concertgoers was the priority. Information about ticket refunds would be provided as soon as possible.
However, an update from Tulsa police added an important detail to the situation.

According to local outlet News on 6, citing the Tulsa Police Department, the incident involved a false bomb threat. Police subsequently investigated the venue and said they had found no credible threat to the event.
In a statement shared on social media, the department explained that officers had conducted security sweeps before the concert, working alongside the venue’s security personnel. The operation involved K-9 units, the Bomb Team and patrol officers, and authorities said they found nothing dangerous.
Police also stated that they had informed Langley’s staff that their investigation had uncovered no credible threat. Despite that assessment, the singer’s team ultimately decided to cancel the performance.
The distinction between the initial security concern and the findings of the police investigation became a key part of the unfolding story. While authorities reported finding no credible danger, Langley and her team had already made the decision not to proceed with the show.
The incident remains under investigation. Tulsa police are asking anyone with relevant information to contact Tulsa Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS.
For fans who had planned to attend the concert, the immediate concern is now the cancellation and the pending refund information. Langley’s representatives declined to comment when contacted by PEOPLE.
The singer has not indicated when the canceled Tulsa performance might be rescheduled.
