Each season of The Voice brings a new group of talented singers hoping to impress the Coaches and make it all the way to the finale. Season 30 introduces several new rules and changes that could make the competition very different from previous seasons.
How to Watch
New episodes of The Voice air Mondays at 8 p.m. ET on NBC and stream the following day on Peacock.
Season 30 features Kelly Clarkson, Adam Levine, Queen Latifah, and Riley Green as the four Coaches. The singers will first need to impress them during the Blind Auditions before facing several new stages on the way to the Live Shows.

How does The Voice work?
The competition begins with the Blind Auditions, where the Coaches listen to singers without seeing them. Artists who earn a chair turn can join one of the four teams.
After the Blind Auditions, the singers move on to the Battles, followed by a new stage called Cut Week and then the Live Shows. Only a limited number of Artists will make it through each round, with one singer eventually crowned the Season 30 winner.
There is also an extra prize this season. The Season 30 winner will receive a chance to perform on the main stage at Governors Ball 2027.
How do Blind Auditions work on The Voice?
During the Blind Auditions, the Coaches judge singers only by their voices. Their chairs face away from the stage, so they cannot see the Artist performing.
When a Coach likes what they hear, they press their button and their chair turns toward the stage. If several Coaches turn, the Artist gets to choose which team to join. If no Coach turns, the Artist is eliminated.

What is the “First In Button” for Season 30 Blind Auditions?
Season 30 has removed the traditional Block and Steal twists from the Blind Auditions and replaced them with the new “First In Button.”
The Coach who turns their chair first can use this button to officially claim an Artist. Each Coach can use the advantage only once during the Blind Auditions.
That means a four-chair turn can now end very differently. Instead of all four Coaches continuing to fight over the singer, the first Coach to turn can use the First In Button and secure the Artist for their team.
How do Battles work on The Voice Season 30?
Once the teams are complete, the Artists enter the Battles.
Two singers from the same team are paired together and perform the same song. Their Coach then decides which Artist deserves to move forward.
The Battles are an important test because Artists must not only impress their Coach individually but also stand out while performing directly against a teammate.

What is “Cut Week” on The Voice Season 30?
Cut Week brings one of the biggest changes to the competition.
After the Battles, each Coach will select two Artists to advance directly to the Live Shows. Five other Artists from each team will then compete for one remaining spot.
That process gives each Coach three Artists for the Live Shows, creating a Top 12.
But the competition does not stop there. America will then vote for one additional Artist, bringing the total number of Live Show contestants to 13.
How do the Live Shows work on The Voice?
The Live Shows will run for six weeks and include live performances as the competition moves toward the finale.
Season 30 will also introduce special theme weeks, including a Dolly Parton Tribute Week, Y2K, and TikTok. For the first time, the Live Shows will air simultaneously on NBC and Peacock across all time zones.
The final stage begins with a Top 9 Semi-Final and ends with the Top 4 Finale, where the remaining Artists compete for the Season 30 title.

How to vote for Artists in The Voice Season 30
Fans will have a bigger role once the Live Shows begin.
During the six weeks of live competition, viewers can vote for their favorite Artists through TikTok or SMS. The results will be announced on the same night.
TikTok will also provide behind-the-scenes access, live companion broadcasts before and after the show, and tracking for sharing activity on the platform. The most-shared Artist will receive a TikTok reward at the end of the season.
Ultimately, viewers will help decide which finalist becomes the Season 30 champion.
Where is The Voice filmed?
The Voice is filmed at Universal Studios in Hollywood, California.
Every season, singers from across the country come to the West Coast hoping to hear one of the show’s famous red chairs turn for them.
What is the age requirement to audition for The Voice?
Artists must be at least 13 years old to audition for The Voice.
The show has welcomed talented young singers over the years, including Season 19 winner Carter Rubin, who won the competition at age 15, and Season 18 contestant Levi Watkins, who auditioned at 14.
