Tom Holland once again proved he’s always looking out for Zendaya after stepping in to help his wife avoid an awkward wardrobe malfunction during a stylish outing in New York City on Thursday.
The couple, who recently confirmed they are married, were photographed leaving their hotel in Manhattan while holding hands on their way to a waiting vehicle. As the pair made their way outside, a sudden breeze caught Zendaya’s elegant black gown, causing the thigh-high slit and hem to lift unexpectedly.
Quick to notice what was happening, Holland immediately gestured toward the dress, prompting the 29-year-old actress to place her hand on the fabric before it could blow any higher. Keeping a protective eye on the situation, the 30-year-old actor continued guiding her safely to their car as she held the gown in place, preventing any fashion mishap.
For the outing, Zendaya wore a striking black dress featuring a plunging neckline, a dramatic thigh-high slit and a floral embellishment across the front. She completed the sophisticated look with closed-toe black heels, delicate silver earrings and understated makeup, including rosy blush and a nude lip. Holland opted for a more relaxed look, pairing classic blue jeans with a dark navy sweater.

Representatives for both stars have not yet commented on the incident after being contacted by Daily Mail.
The appearance comes as the Hollywood couple continues promoting Christopher Nolan’s highly anticipated epic The Odyssey, which arrives in theaters on July 17. In the film, Holland stars as Telemachus, while Zendaya portrays the goddess Athena in Nolan’s adaptation of Homer’s legendary Greek poem.
During a recent appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Zendaya shared the emotional story of how Holland surprised her with the news that she had also been cast in the film.
She explained that Holland had already spoken with Christopher Nolan and received the script before she became involved. While excited for her husband’s opportunity, she admitted she never imagined she would be joining the production herself.
Curiosity got the better of her, and she confessed to sneaking a look at the screenplay while it was at home. Later, after Holland returned from another meeting with Nolan, he encouraged her to read the script one more time—but this time with Athena in mind.
The realization immediately hit her.

According to Zendaya, she “freaked out” after understanding what he meant and described the way Holland shared the life-changing news as incredibly special.
The admiration between the two stars goes both ways. Speaking to Entertainment Tonight at The Odyssey‘s London premiere, Holland praised his wife’s fearless acting style, revealing that working alongside her has taught him to be more confident and willing to make bold creative choices.
He said Zendaya isn’t afraid to fully commit to her characters, adding that few actors can create believable performances with the same confidence and authenticity that she brings to every role.
Fans won’t have to wait long to see the married couple share the screen again. Following The Odyssey, the pair will reunite in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which is scheduled to arrive in theaters on July 30.
Last month, Holland officially confirmed their marriage during an interview with Esquire UK, ending months of speculation. Asked whether relatives had believed AI-generated wedding photos circulating online were real, he simply replied, “No, because they were all there,” before making it clear he wouldn’t be revealing anything more about the private ceremony.
