Prince William has reason to celebrate after his unexpected appearance in The Reluctant Traveller with Eugene Levy helped the acclaimed Apple TV+ travel series earn two Primetime Emmy nominations—marking a notable television achievement as royal projects continue drawing attention on both sides of the Atlantic.
The series, hosted by Schitt’s Creek star Eugene Levy, 79, received nominations for Outstanding Writing for a Nonfiction Program and Outstanding Hosted Nonfiction Series or Special following its latest season, which featured a memorable visit to Windsor Castle with the Prince of Wales, 44.
During the episode, William welcomed Levy for a private tour of the historic royal residence before the pair shared a relaxed conversation over drinks at a local pub. The future king spoke candidly about what he described as “the hardest year I’ve ever had,” reflecting on the emotional toll of both King Charles’ cancer diagnosis and Catherine, Princess of Wales’ battle with cancer.

William also discussed balancing royal duties with family life, sharing his thoughts on the future of the monarchy and his responsibilities as a father. The lighthearted outing included plenty of humor as well, with the prince joking to Levy, “Was getting drunk with Prince William on your bucket list?” Levy quickly replied, “That’s the bucket.”
Before arriving at Windsor Castle, cameras captured Levy receiving an official invitation on Kensington Palace stationery in his hotel room. Signed by William and dated January 2025, the letter invited the actor to enjoy a private tour of the castle, setting up one of the season’s most talked-about moments.
The Emmy recognition comes as Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, also celebrates television awards attention. Her Netflix lifestyle series, With Love, Meghan, received a Daytime Emmy nomination in the Outstanding Lifestyle Series category.
Meghan, 44, marked the nomination on Instagram by congratulating the show’s team. “A huge congratulations to the amazing crew, producers, and team who worked on ‘With Love, Meghan’ on Netflix. We are nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Lifestyle Series,” she wrote alongside promotional artwork for the series.
Originally released in March 2025, the cooking and lifestyle program coincided with the launch of Meghan’s As Ever brand. A second season and a Christmas special followed, featuring hosting advice, recipes, and entertaining tips filmed inside a rented £5 million mansion near the Sussexes’ home in Montecito, California.

Despite its Emmy recognition, the series received mixed reviews from critics and struggled to gain major viewership, reportedly failing to rank among Netflix’s top 1,000 most-watched programs.
The nomination also arrives nearly eight years after Meghan reportedly declined an invitation to attend the Emmy Awards shortly after marrying into the Royal Family. At the time, sources said she viewed the decision as a clear break from her acting career, although speculation has continued about a possible Hollywood return following Megxit in 2020.
Following the end of her original Netflix agreement in March, Meghan assumed full control of her As Ever food and homeware brand. However, Prince Harry and Meghan later signed a new first-look deal with Netflix, giving the streaming platform first access to future projects produced through Archewell Productions.
One upcoming project is No Way Out: The Searing True Story Of Men Under Siege, a film adaptation of Major Adam Jowett’s Afghanistan memoir. According to Deadline, the movie will tell the story of Easy Company, a unit of Paras and Royal Irish Rangers that came under Taliban attack in Helmand Province during July 2006.
Meanwhile, Meghan is also preparing for another television appearance as a guest judge on MasterChef Australia. Filmed during her visit to Australia with Prince Harry earlier this year, the episode will air on Channel 10 on Sunday, July 26, at 7 p.m.

During the episode, contestants will be challenged to create a dish worthy of a duchess using seasonal ingredients including Brussels sprouts, celeriac, macadamia nuts, quince, lemons, apples, mandarins, strawberries, and Australian honey.
Explaining why she accepted the invitation, Meghan said: “What attracted me to the MasterChef Australia kitchen? Two things: my love of food and my love of Australia. It was an easy yes.”
While William has not publicly commented on The Reluctant Traveller’s Emmy success, the series’ two Primetime Emmy nominations stand as a significant milestone—arriving at the same time Meghan’s own television venture has earned recognition in the Daytime Emmy Awards, creating an unusual awards-season moment for both senior members of the royal family.
