Newly released body camera footage shows the frantic moments after a Florida woman was critically injured in a fatal alligator attack, as a sheriff’s deputy rushed to provide emergency aid.

The video captures a Seminole County Sheriff’s Office deputy running through thick brush before reaching the sandy bank of the Econlockhatchee River, where 31 year old Brittany Clark had been attacked just moments earlier while swimming with her boyfriend.

When the deputy arrives, Clark and another person, believed to be her boyfriend, Chance Allison, can be seen beneath a tarp near the water’s edge.

The footage shows the deputy quickly pulling out a tourniquet in an attempt to treat Clark’s devastating injuries before the video ends.

The severity of Clark’s wounds had already been described during the emergency 911 call. The caller reported that “both her arms are dislocated” and that “one arm is completely off.”

Clark, a bulldozer operator who loved spending time outdoors, was known for her passion for rave culture and her pets, Shady and Hokulani.

Authorities said she was swimming in approximately three feet of water in the Econlockhatchee River when the alligator attacked.

According to the medical examiner’s report, the reptile used a “death roll,” a powerful spinning maneuver commonly used by alligators to overpower prey.

Allison fought desperately to save Clark during the attack, but she later died from her injuries while being transported to a hospital.

In an emotional Facebook tribute shared Wednesday, Allison said he was still struggling to accept the tragedy.

“I’m just still in disbelief of what took place,” he wrote. “We had so many things planned out and memories to be made.”

The medical examiner determined that Clark died from “multiple blunt force injuries of the upper extremities.” The report also noted that when first responders reached her, she still had a “thready” pulse.

As part of the ongoing investigation, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission has captured and euthanized two large alligators from the area, measuring 13 feet and 12.5 feet. Authorities continue to investigate the fatal attack.
