Kelly Clarkson is making it clear that dating is not at the top of her list right now.
During a recent appearance on Bowen Yang and Matt Rogers’ “Las Culturistas” podcast, Clarkson opened up about her love life and revealed why she is perfectly happy staying single for the time being.
When the hosts asked about her dating life, the “Breakaway” singer said she has no plans to rush into another relationship.

“This is not a bullshit answer: I love my life right now,” Clarkson said during the September 30 episode. “Like, it just got to where I am not exhausted at every point of it.”
For Clarkson, having more time and energy for herself and her family has changed how she views dating.
The singer recently stepped away from “The Kelly Clarkson Show” after years of hosting the daytime program. Since then, she has been able to spend more time with her two children, River Rose, 12, and Remington “Remy,” 10.

Clarkson also admitted that bringing a new relationship into their lives could be difficult for her children.
“My kids right now—I think there’s a lot behind that—but I think [me dating] would rock their boat a little bit,” she explained.
Because of that, Clarkson said she is not looking to introduce a new partner into the family anytime soon.

“I feel like if you’re going to be in a relationship, you have to be willing to give some of your time up, and I am unwilling,” she said.
Instead, Clarkson is enjoying the time she has with her children and the chance to focus more on her family.
“I think it’s been really good,” she added.
Her comments come after an emotional period for the family following the August 2025 death of her ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock. Clarkson has continued to focus on providing stability for their children as they deal with the loss of their father.

And this is not the first time Clarkson has made it clear that she is comfortable being single.
While performing at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas in July, the singer joked about seeing other people embrace single life.
“There are a lot of people out here making single look real good,” she said, according to E! News, adding that she was “so glad” to be single.
For now, Clarkson appears to be enjoying a different kind of love story, one centered on her children, her family and finally having more time to enjoy her own life.
