The country superstar performed at the John Deere Classic in Illinois on Saturday, taking the stage after the third round of the annual PGA Tour golf tournament. One viewer questioned how Carrie could go from performing in major arenas to appearing in front of a smaller looking crowd at a golf event, while another claimed they had never expected to hear her sound less than perfect. Some critics even suggested her career had changed in recent years.

However, many fans came to Carrie’s defense, reminding people that outdoor performances can be very different from traditional concerts. Others pointed out that one performance should not define the career of an artist who has spent more than 20 years at the top of country music.

The size of the audience also became part of the discussion after some viewers believed Carrie was performing for only a few dozen people based on photos and videos from the event. However, tournament officials estimated that approximately 12,000 people attended the concert, showing that the viral clips did not capture the full crowd.
