College Station’s own Aiden Ross — the 20-year-old Texas A&M sophomore who stunned all four coaches during his Voice blind audition — is once again proving that true talent doesn’t need a spotlight to shine.
In a quiet backstage moment, the Team Niall standout took on a Michael Bublé classic in an impromptu a cappella performance that sent social media into overdrive.

The clip, filmed casually on his phone, showed Ross singing “Feeling Good” with pure emotion — no microphone, no band, no stage effects — just a raw, rich voice that instantly grabbed listeners’ hearts.
“Wow. your voice gives me chills. Beautiful” wrote one fan.
“I came here from your audition and just have one selfish request — please do a cover of the song you sang on the show and upload it. I want to listen to it on repeat without the crowd noise!” another begged.
“Your voice just feels sooo nice to hear,” said another commenter. “You’re a gem — your creative choices are untouchable.”
Fans from around the world, including Australia, the UK, and across the U.S., are still discovering Aiden through The Voice clips, with many convinced he’s destined for the finale. “You are going to win!!! That audition was incredible,” one wrote. “Your version of ‘Sailing’ by Christopher Cross would be a radio hit. Your voice is beautiful!”
From Aggieland to The Voice Stage
Ross’s rise from a Texas college student to a nationwide favorite has been as heartwarming as his tone. A College Station native, Aiden grew up surrounded by music on his family’s strawberry farm, harmonizing with his dad and sister during casual jam sessions. His father, Jim Ross, encouraged him early on — even buying him a special left-handed guitar when Aiden showed natural musical talent.

By the time he hit high school, Aiden was performing at local events like First Friday in Downtown Bryan, where he first discovered how deeply his voice could move people. “That was when I fell in love with performing,” he shared.
At Texas A&M University, Aiden initially pursued industrial engineering while balancing music through his college a cappella group. But after a year of calculus, chemistry, and soul-searching, he realized what his heart truly wanted and auditioned for The Voice “on a whim.”

That leap of faith changed everything. His blind audition performance of Adele’s “Love in the Dark” earned a four-chair turn from all coaches — Michael Bublé, Niall Horan, Reba McEntire, and Snoop Dogg — within seconds.
“From the moment you opened your mouth, I could see you in the final,” said Niall Horan.
Ross ultimately chose Team Niall, drawn to their shared songwriting style and Horan’s experience navigating life after a talent show.

His Battles Performance Had Everyone Talking
In the Battle Round, Aiden was paired with Ava Nat, performing Horan’s own duet with Julia Michaels, “What a Time.” Even Niall admitted choosing his own song was risky:
“I was a bit worried it might seem self-indulgent,” he laughed, “but that song suited both strong pop singers.”

Their harmonies left Lewis Capaldi and all four coaches speechless. “That was beautiful,” Bublé said, highlighting Aiden’s smooth falsetto. Snoop Dogg even hinted at a steal, joking, “I’m thinking about doing some things.”
When the time came, Niall chose Aiden Ross for his consistency — but he couldn’t let Ava go either, using his only Save to keep her on Team Niall. “There was no way you were going anywhere,” Horan told her.
The Voice airs Mondays at 7 p.m. on NBC.
