The Voice Season 28 continues with the Knockout Rounds on Monday night, where there are no Steals or Saves. That means when coaches Michael Bublé, Reba McEntire, Niall Horan, and Snoop Dogg pick the winner of each sing-off, only that artist can move on to the Playoffs. The pressure is high, as this round can determine the fate of each contestant.
In the Knockouts, coaches decide who will face off against whom, but the artists themselves choose the songs they perform. This gives America a chance to get to know the singers and their unique styles, allowing each artist to show their personality and musical identity.

NBC exclusively gave Parade a sneak peek of the Knockout between Team Niall’s Aiden Ross, who performed “when the party is over” by Billie Eilish. Aiden delivered a delicate, emotionally charged performance, aiming to showcase his control, expressiveness, and ability to connect with the audience.

Meanwhile, his opponent Liam Von Elbe chose “Over My Head (Cable Car)” by The Fray. Liam brought his own energy and sincerity to the stage, blending heartfelt emotion with strong technique to impress both the coaches and the viewers. His song choice highlighted his distinctive musical style and personal flair.
Both Aiden Ross and Liam Von Elbe gave it their all, creating a tense and thrilling showdown. Every note and every interpretation could make the difference, keeping coaches and fans on the edge of their seats as they waited to see who would advance to the Playoffs in this unforgettable Season 28 battle.
“Great job,” Reba complimented. “It was a very entertaining pairing. Liam, your vocal was great; your tone was wonderful. Aiden, your range was crazy. We have no Save, no Steal, so best of luck to both of you. Both were excellent.”

Then it was Michael’s turn to critique, and, as usual, he used humor to get his message across.
“That was captivating,” he said. “Usually, I write notes, but I didn’t. I lost my pen. Your performances were so good, I threw my pen at Niall. I threw it in anger and a little bit of jealousy. Congratulations, you’re just winners.”

Next, to weigh-in was Snoop, who said, “Brother Liam, you are growing and growing. You are sounding bigger and better and you’ve got more movement and showmanship. I think you did an amazing job. Aiden Ross, when you were singing, I was stuck like a dump truck. It put me in like a trance. But let me say this, the way you sing, the way you handled that record, you sound like you could actually win The Voice, and that’s with no cap, just real talk.”
Then it was time for Niall to weigh in, and, of course, it’s really only his opinion that matters.

“Aiden, it’s a masterclass what you just did there,” he said. “It’s very easy to have a voice like yours and just be, ‘Look at me,’ and you don’t. You just stand there at the mic stand and you sing the song, and you make great choices. Liam, I’m just so proud of you, the story you’ve had and the growth you’ve show week on week. It was an incredible song choice. It suits you down to the ground.”
If I had to guess from the comments, I would say that Aiden won the Knockout. But to find out for sure, tune in to The Voice on Monday night at 8 p.m. ET/PT on NBC. Streams next day on Peacock.
