Millions of Americans turned the channel during the Super Bowl to watch Turning Point USA’s alternative “All American Halftime Show” as the New England Patriots and the Seattle Seahawks faced off Sunday in Super Bowl LX.

Brantley Gilbert, Gabby Barrett, Lee Brice, and Kid Rock performed as part of Turning Point USA’s first-ever All-American Halftime Show, which streamed on Sunday evening (Feb. 8) simultaneously as Bad Bunny headlined Super Bowl LX from Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.
Brantley Gilbert
The performance kicked off with an instrumental version of “The Star-Spangled Banner” by Gilbert’s guitar player. Moments later, Gilbert took the stage, launching into a high-energy performance of “Real American,” followed by “Dirt Road Anthem,” a song he co-wrote with Colt Ford that later became a massive hit for Jason Aldean.
“I wrote this next song with a good friend of mine by the name of Colt Ford, and Jason Aldean changed our lives and put it on Country radio,” the Georgia native shared.
The set featured fireworks and lasers, and Gilbert sported a shirt reading “God, Family, Country”, reflecting the show’s mission to “celebrate faith, family, and freedom.”
Gabby Barrett
Next up was Gabby Barrett, appearing on stage in a teal pantsuit with a peplum waist. She opened with her breakout No. 1 hit, “I Hope,” before following it with her chart-topper “The Good Ones,” keeping the energy high while fans sang along in the background.

Lee Brice
Lee Brice took the lead on the next segment with a three-song set, performing “Drinking Class,” “Hard To Love,” and debuting a bold new track, “Country Nowadays.” The song made a bold statement, and fans can likely expect it to appear on his next album.
It’s worth noting that the show appeared to be pre-taped, as the transitions between performances happened quite abruptly.
Kid Rock
Headlining the show was Kid Rock, who made a dramatic entrance leaping onto the stage wearing a white fur vest, denim shorts, and a top hat, as an American flag dropped from above, filling the back of the stage. With his name in lights overhead, he launched into “Bawitdaba,” moving around the stage as flames shot into the air and fans cheered wildly.
For his second performance, the mood shifted completely. The stage went dark, and a cellist and violinist appeared, setting the tone for a more intimate moment.
Introduced as Robert Ritchie, he returned wearing a different outfit and playing an acoustic guitar. He performed “‘Til You Can’t,” a song written by Ben Stennis and Matt Rogers and made famous by Cody Johnson. Kid Rock shared that he had recently woken up in the middle of the night feeling inspired to add a new verse to the song, making this rendition truly unique.
During his performance, he added the verse as he sang, ““There’s a book that is sitting in your house somewhere that could use some dusting off/ There’s a man that died for all our sins/ hanging from the cross/ You can give your life to Jesus/ and he’ll give you a second chance/ ’til you can’t…”
Following the All-American Halftime Show, Kid Rock revealed plans to release his version of the song at midnight.
“A big thank you to Cody Johnson and the songwriters Ben Stennis and Matt Rogers for giving me there blessing to record and release it,” he wrote. “It really is one of the best written songs I have heard in a long time and NOTHING is more powerful than a great song in my book!”
The alternative halftime show concluded with a tribute, as “In Remembrance of Charlie Kirk” appeared on the screens alongside photos of Kirk and his family.
